How to get to Roe Deer Cottage
Heading from the south – take the A82 from Crianlarich, head north to Ballachulish Bridge. Cross the bridge and take second turning on right, onto B863 to Kinlochleven. Roe Deer Cottage is located 250 yards from junction, on the left hand side of road.
Heading from the north – Follow the A82 from Spean Bridge, through Fort William and follow the loch to Corran Ferry. Continue on the A82 through Onich and onto North Ballachulish. Pass the Shell petrol station and look for the sign for B863 to Kinlochleven, to left side, turn left and travel for 250 yards from junction, on the left hand side of road.
There are several ways to reach Langall Cottages, but you should be aware that once you are in the Highlands, public transport can be quite limiting and you may be best to hire a car if you plan to tour further afield.
By Air
Glasgow airport is the most convenient to fly to, being about 2 hours from Ballachulish. Inverness and Edinburgh Airports are around 2½ hours away. All 3 airports accept flights from Domestic and Continental flights and Edinburgh and Glasgow also receive Transatlantic flights.
By Rail
There is a sleeper train that runs directly between London Euston and Fort William every evening of the week except Saturday. There are also daytime services from Edinburgh & Glasgow. Fort William is about ½ hours drive away.
By Road
Please see above for directions. All of the major car hire companies operate from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
